Qualifications
- KAA/KAAA members, their spouses, their children, step children, grandchildren and step-grandchildren are eligible to apply.
- The KAA or KAAA member shall have belonged to the association for at least two years or be a lifetime member.
- Graduation from an accredited high school or an equivalent accepted level of education.
- Acceptance into a school of higher education.
- Applicants are eligible to receive a High School Scholarship and a Continuing Education Scholarship.
Instructions
We ask each applicant to prepare their information in the following format and send it to us compiled in a folder.

- Fill out the information on page 1 and include as Section 1 of application.
- Section 2 – Organize the following information using this format
Honor Roll 1, 2, 3, 4
Boys Quartet 3,4 or Lions Club – 1996-2002 (Freshman = 1)
Section 2 may include as many pages as needed to complete the following information; please number as 2a, 2b, 2c, etc.- Scholastic
- Honors and awards
- Offices and positions of leadership (organizations, position, year)
- Members of organizations (where no office was held – i.e. Band)
- Extra-curricular (school related)
- Honors and awards
- Offices and positions of leadership

- Civic/volunteer (community – non school related)

- Life or business (work) experiences and other pertinent information
- Scholastic
- Section 3 -High School level transcript of grades signed and sealed by high school or other qualified official.
- Section 4 – Higher education transcript, if applicable.
- Section 5 – ACT, SAT and/or other test results. (photocopies numbered 5a, 5b, 5c, etc.)
- Section 6 – Applicants essay stating his/her Vocation or Professional goal, and plans for attainment. Mention should be made of facts which have not been covered in the routine completion of this application such as persons or events that have influenced your decision. Please make note of any experiences you have had with the auction profession.
- Section 7 – Letter from member of Kansas Auctioneers Association or Auxiliary making recommendation. This letter may be sent with application.
- Section 8 – Two or more other letters of recommendation (e.g. – high school teacher, principal, counselor, employer, or academic dean). Letters of recommendation should be signed and dated and mailed directly to the Scholarship Committee. Please include in your scholarship application a list of names from which letters of recommendation are to be received.
- The Scholarship Committee will retain the applications for three (3) years.
- Applicants should strive to make all information as current as possible. e.g. – current applications and letters of recommendation (copies from previous years will not be accepted).
